Appearance

Warrblag was forever wearing a dull, copper-colored robe. He seemed to be quite a plain looking Orc with a wide, flat face. He was rather short, slim and meek looking. Because of his subtle appearance he never seemed to generate much hatred from other Orcs, besides Kraadu, but that was for being Magrekh's aide and a rival magician. Perhaps this was all an illusion, as he never seemed to get much, direct, negative attention from Humans, Undead or any enemies of Tolagâl either...

Background

Not much is known of Warrblag. It is thought he was the apprentice of the former Dushatar of Tolagâl, Uhjeck, who returned under the mountains with the first Ashdurbûk, Vrashk. Warrblag was a formidable Mage and even managed to build an Orc from scratch, salvaging various body parts of deceased Orcs and using his magical talents. The fact the Orc survived and contributed to the Tolagâl legacy as an adept Warrior and Blacksmith is a credit to Warrblag's potential, as even Kraadu had difficulty creating an Orc, as seen in his attempts to spawn an Ologijak using alchemy. This Orc was named Haku and the only problem with his creation is that it seemed to act like anything but an Orc, generally friendly to Humans (unless provoked) and did not particularly fit well into Orcish society at all, lest for his loyalty to his creator and skill at crafting weapons and armor.

Upon Uhjeck's departure, Warrblag served the Gothai, Magrekh loyally... or so it seemed. None except Haku ever got close enough to Warrblag to know what, if anything, he was truly planning. He spent many hours within the Gothai's chambers, attending to his needs and monopolizing his attention. They were rarely seen apart.

When Kraadu left Tolagâl, Warrblag took over and tried to enforce Magrekh's will upon the Soldiers. Although initially unsuccessful, he convinced the Gothai to promote some of the older Orcs, in particular Xnath, Krishke, Brodgar and Vrorbag, in an attempt to win their loyalty. For some it worked more than others; Brodgar seemed loyal, Vrorbag indifferent while Krishke remained loyal to the first Ashdurbûk and Xnath knew that he could never turn against Kraadu.

When Magrekh was finally killed Warrblag was still around, though he suspected that he would not live long under Kraadu's rule. Though both Kraadu and Warrblag rarely spoke to each other directly, the mutual hatred was obvious to them both. He did not leave Tolagâl, but instead remained incognito. He was often sighted entering the mines, and even Haku admitted seeing him do this, but nobody knew what he was up to nor could they find him when search parties were dispatched.

At the Fall of Tolagâl, Kraadu ordered Xnath to slay Warrblag. Though Kraadu has not seen Xnath since that the last battle, he hasn't seen Warrblag either. Thus has chosen to believe that he is dead, both former and latter. His real fate remains unknown.

Personality

Warrblag kept himself to himself, but he would be quick to put those lesser than him in their place. Clearly he was highly intelligent, but he seemed like a follower more than a leader, but nobody ever truly knew him. He never seemed to show much emotion except perhaps surprise when confronted with Kraadu's blatant attempts to outdo him to gain Magrekh's favour in the early days.
