Appearance

The Great Ashdurbûk Vrashk was a massive, hulking, sinister looking orc. His sheer presence inspired terror; if it didn't his bodyguard of Uruk-Hai certainly did. He radiated authority and any who did not bow to his will met a quick and bloody fate. He was tall, muscular and broad. Everything about him was huge; especially to the common cave orc that he commanded legions of. He wore the finest armor orcs could craft; thick, impenetrable shadow colored plate mail that would break the back of any lesser being that tried to wear it. He always carried colossal weapons that no other orc had the strength to hold. A thick battle-made crown always rested upon his head and a blood red cloak draped from his back.

Background

An old Uruk Hai officer of Gundabad, who upon reaching the new lands of Britannia and conquering the orc valley proclaimed himself Ashdurbûk of the new world. He was a strong warrior as well as a cunning politician. Upon entering Tolagâl through the orc caves he quickly removed all of its current residents with brutal precision and ease. Vrashk was a legendary leader; ruthless and efficient. He even managed to build a well fortified city-state whilst under the constant attack of the Yewish Militia, who, in these times, buckled under the sheer ferocity of Vrashk's armies.

Vrashk brought with him a fierce and well trained team of Uruk-Hai who led every fraction of his armies and assisted him with his evil schemes. They were also his personal bodyguard. The Ashdurbûk was fluent in Black Speech and enforced its use upon all his minions, orc or otherwise.

For many years Vrashk lead the armies of Tolagâl on a campaign of destruction, managing even to subdue the Shire under his command as well as the majority of Eastern and Western Yew. Vrashk secured an alliance with The Undead and held the northern front against the Guardsmen Militia. Vrashk even managed to enslave a large population of Yew, forcing them to gather vast amounts of resources from the western parts of the region to fuel Tolagâl's expanding armies. However, this course of action lead to a massive war with the inhabitants of Yew. The people could no longer allow the orcs to hold dominance over so much of their land. The result of this war was a victory for the good forces of Yew, if just barely. Vrashk and Tolagâl survived this war and the only visible result was a loss of land to the west. The majority of Tolagâl remained intact until Vrashk's departure later on.

Departure

When Vrashk left Tolagâl and returned under the mountains, to reclaim his former empire, he left his first born son Magrekh to rule over Tolagâl in his absence. Why Vrashk left such an incompetent orc in charge of his empire is unknown, as it was fairly obvious from the start that Vrashk had little respect for his son, refusing to grant him his title of Ashdurbûk, instead calling him Za Gothai (meaning High Ruler) of Tolagâl.

When Vrashk left, the state of Tolagâl rapidly deteriorated and entered what is known as the dark times. The majority of Vrashk's army, and all of his well trained soldiers, left with him, leaving only Magrekh, slaves, youths and independent orcs to defend Tolagâl. Some notable, loyal and worthy orcs remained behind and tried to maintain Tolagâl, such as Krishke and Warrblag, but it wasn't until Kraadu came to Tolagâl, many years later, that it stabilized and regained some of its former glory.

Whether Vrashk cared for his empire above ground is unknown. It is likely that he found fighting humans boring and easy, or thought that they wouldn't be much of a challenge for the remains of Tolagâl. Only the Ashdurbûk and his most trusted Uruk-Hai truly know.

Vrashk's Fate

The very thought of Vrashk being killable is inconceivable to most orcs. It is likely that, to this day, he remains fighting under the mountains to reclaim his old territory against the dwarves who forced his armies out... or whatever else that gets in his way. He took enough of his army with him to be nigh invincible not to mention his own natural combat skills. Most of the orcs from Tolagâl that remembered him are now long dead.

In truth, Vrashk is still sitting in his black stone throne, his body slowly withering away as his will and life-force is drained by the iron crown atop his head, an evil artifact known as the crown of the mountain king, given to him by one of the leaders of the undead of Yew. His fate is kept secret by the remnants of the Uruk Hai nobility below the mountain, fearing all out anarchy amongst the lesser orcs should it become known.

Personality

Vrashk was the epitome of orcish. All orcs aspired to be like him for he was every bit the orc they should have been; truly wicked, crude, utterly selfish, unsympathetic, brutal, fierce beyond rivalry and, above all, an awe inspiring leader. Yet, he still enjoyed showing his power and bragging like most, normal, orcs. He was also incredibly arrogant; all of his titles were self-granted, but they were not in any way contrived. He knew of his strength.
