The village of Silverleaf is a small hamlet well hidden amongst the Deep Forest, founded by elven and human refugees in the shadow of Kaine's laboratory and the library of Gwynneth van Lace. Disguised by the thick woodland and protected by intricate spells, the village has managed to survive unmolested by the fanatical Church of Yew and the much hated local Militia. Nowadays fewer than a dozen individuals dwell within Silverleaf, though it remains a refuge for lost and weary travellers of peaceful intent. Silverleaf has long provided those fortunate enough to find it with an inn, a tavern, both animist and virtue shrines, an extensive library, and a farmer's market run by the Halfling, Rorimac. Several small cottages and tree-dwellings radiate outwards from this central hub of activity. A number of the villagers once lived in the now abandoned township of Aquileia, on the shores of Fire Island.

Secluded as it is, the residents of Silverleaf are typically apolitical, refusing to involve themselves in the conflicts and drama of the wider world. They are however a resolutely independant folk, paying no tax and using their own resources for survival. They do not bother the Great Council, and are let be in turn. Due in no small part to their shared ideals, the people of Silverleaf have always held strong ties to the Duchy of Trinsic and the Village of Dreamstone, and were once in regular contact with the Rangers of Skara Brae and Mages of Moonglow.
History
XXX First settlement in the Deep Forest by Gwynneth of the Keepers of the Elements
XXX Elder Kaine and other elves of the Keepers of the Elements abandon their homes througout Britannia and settle down in Silverleaf
XXX The Roman village of Aquileia is founded and becomes allied. Silverleaf opens an embassy in Aquileia.
XXX Constant raids by the Drow of Naeloth bring down Aquileia. The last surviving citizens flee back to the sanctuity of Silverleaf
XXX Minax and her Lieutenant the Gazerlord Kaltar and General Keeonean raid Empath Abbey. Many citizens of Silverleaf die defending the Monks of the Rose. Silverleaf gives shelter to many refugees from Yew.
XXX Rilla Takhista re-appears after long absence, she is seen for the last time on Trammel Britannia.
XXX The Pirates of Sosaria hide their ship in the Silverleaf Bay. Aerie the cook settles down and opens her famous deli.
XXX Constant war between the forces of Chaos and the Loyalists change Yew into a poisoned swamp. While Silverleaf is protected by the Deep Forest almost all trade and travel stops. Only a few druids and scribes visit the library of Silverleaf.
XXX Silverleaf grows, the Silverleaf Inn opens for business.
XXX More elves settle in the area, bringing the population to almost two dozend inhabitants.
XXX The Beast of the Deep Forest haunts the village and surrounding forest. Killing hundreds of animals and people it is never hunted down. However it wasn't seen again since then.
