Tatsujin Tengu (abbr. KJ) Tatsujin Tengu is a guild dedicated to roleplaying feudal Japanese culture in the Europa roleplay community. Founded by former members of the Bujin'Kai and The Kotodama Clan, Tatsujin Tengu is Europa's first major 'Eastern' guild since the decline of the CoY and CoRE collectives and the forming of a unified community.

About

The dokoro training hard.
The dokoro training hard.
Originally the brainchild of Shunsaki Jun and Kazuo Shinrai; they created a fantastic player-run village in a secluded location. Inspired by the historic ninja clans and villages of the Koga and Iga regions of history and legend, the little settlement would house a small force of ninja that would do assassination jobs (and little else) as a subgroup within an existing guild.

As information about the project leaked, however, interest quickly grew and the project itself snowballed; with people expressing an interest in playing simple Japanese villagers, merchants and peasants as well as typical ninja. With close to fifteen characters all being made or gathered and the village growing from three, to four, to seven buildings it became apparent that Tatsujin Tengu deserved a guild of it's own and so they launched it.

Goals

Tatsujin Tengu's aim is for Koga-jima to be a bustling and busy little village full of great characters and interesting roleplay. They strive to sustain their own, localized, economy and to establish some self sufficiency by harvesting the resources of their area as well as by harnassing the skills of their native tradesmen.

Sending their diplomats and merchants to the mainland to deal with towns such as Yew, Cove and Vesper the people of Koga-jima, or 'Kogajin', import what they do not have in exchange for their excess supplies to keep the community thriving.

When diplomacy fails or when a contract calls, the deadly ninja of the Koga-jima are trained by the greatest sensei and aim to execute their orders efficiently and quickly from the shade.

Koga-jima is an eight building, player-created village, nestled in a secluded location. The villagers of Koga-jima live in relative harmony, guarded by the dokoro, busily doing the bidding of the Kachou and Jonin, the village's leaders.

The fleet of the Tatsujin Tengu sails to and from the village's working docks and the goods it brings are stowed next door in a quaint warehouse, overlooked by the chonin Mitsuo. The near by swordsmith is ever busy, producing the finest Nihonjin arms and armour and the deadly ninja-to of the Tatsujin Tengu dokoro.

Across the beach, the tea house and shrine offer calm relief for the Kogajin and the high rising lighthouse offers a feeling of security. A short walk from the village's center sits the crop fields ready to harvest and the hunting lodge and tannery of the local craftsmen.
