Talk:Crossroads of Yew
From MoongatesWiki
Who were the 'Lost Marauders'? I've never heard of them before. --Kraadu
- It was a guild of stranded pirates. The guild was timewise formed near the first disbanding of TCR (by some former members mostly), and had a rather short lifetime. So maybe listing it under 'notable member guilds' is not the right thing to do. From a historic point of view it once was a member guild nonetheless. So using a different/new list for guilds in a similiar situation might be a choice.. -- (anonymous)
How CoY evolved
I've added some extra history about how CoY evolved (and appropriate links to see the content change), and included a criticisms section. I'm not terribly au fait with wikis and I realise the discussion could be construed as heavily web-centric, so do please reformat and recapture that information elsewhere as applicable! The criticisms have come from common knowledge, with a few specific cases in mind, I hope they are sufficiently neutral. Additionally, I have a lot of old resources that are currently unavailable (read: offline) that can be made available if someone would like to get in touch with me to talk about what's appropriate! --Calin
- I moved the reference links to the bottom and removed the text I thought was unnecessary. I think it would be a good idea to incorporate CoY's various "stages", but it would need follow a different structure than when the website was updated. --Gerbo 20:08, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Either way, those links are su-bloody-perb. I went looking for some of those websites about a year ago but couldn't find them. I don't know what else to say other than; cheers! -- Jiub 21:05, 16 July 2008 (GMT)
- Actually, you should familiarize yourself with the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine. It's one of the most fantastic services out there! (At least for those of us without early backups.) --Gerbo 20:33, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
