Samurai

A samurai is one of the highest positions in the Tokunese feudal hierarchy that any man can attain within the dokoro, few had managed to serve so long and live so long to be able to obtain this right. It is a samurai duty to ensure that everything throughout the entire land of his damiyo's ruling is of good nature and great profit. Samurai are the ones responcible to take out small armies of men to force back evil and obtain great wealth for the clan. Samurai have the right over any rank below him and anyone within the land who is not of interest to the daimyo. These men and women are the elite fighters of the dokoro and are always called into battle.

Short Story

Whilst in a foreign town Takeda and Yoshi had caught sight of a small group of ronin that had slanderd their swordsmanship school. One of the ronin had also killed one of their schools aprentices trying to uphold his clans honour. If Takeda and Yoshi was to ever become samurai now was the time to prove it, they had to engage in battle with the ronin regardless of their lack of number. Such news of the two men killing a group of ronin wanted by the Kotodama clan wouldn't be overlooked. Without word to one another both Takeda and Yoshi followed after the ronin. When finally close enough Yoshi spoke out and demanded a fight with all of the ronin. As soon as they turned to face Yoshi, Takeda had already put his hands to his sword. Within seconds the pair had charged the group of ronin, almost minuetes into the fight and the ronin where down to less than half the men they started with. Yoshi an expert in fighting with two swords had managed to fend off many attacks whilst Takeda came out of the fight with a few deep cuts. With a struggle and a little bloodloss from Takeda the pair had won the fight. They had regained honour, taken by the ronin when they killed the young aprentice.
