Appearance
Dyed red hair and a small goatee, his eyes are pale green. Fairly slim and muscled. 6ft in height and has very friendly and chirpy attitude. Rob's got a scar that runs from his left eyebrow down to his left cheek from Terort Skitas
History
Robert grew up in a Monastery in a remote valley in Britannia, He had been taken in by the monks at the age of two when they discovered one of small villages on the edge of their estate. They found him among the ruins crying and there was no sign of what destroyed the village, the most likely conclusion was Pirates or raiders as the estate was on the coast.
Robert spent most of his years studying in the monastery, as he refused to take vows and become a monk. He was educated to read and write and they tried to teach him to write down everything as it may come in useful. In return he would do menial tasks that aided the monks like farming and helping take any goods to the local trade post with a monk. At the age of 21 Robert left the monastery and went in search of a new life, on his travels he came across Yew and the Guardsmen Militia, He quickly decided this was what he wished to do and signed up. Ever since he has taken every lesson that being a Guardsman has taught him.
Guardsman Career
As Robert has progressed in rank he earned as a footman the Duty Ribbon and the Progress Ribbon, Then once he had gained his Ironarms of a Rookie Guardsman he set out on joining the Besieger Division. After a period of Trials he finally completed the Besieger Tasks and earned the right to join them. On Captain Dart's patrol to Terort Skitas, Which ended in major casualties. Rob's helm was severely damaged and has given Rob a scar. Rob took part in the Ultimate Militia Duo competition with Henry Lumbard as his partner.. They came third in the Duo, Following the Competition Rob took part in some of the events during the Celebration of the Militia's Anniversary. During this time Rob also took to caring for an orphan Criofan, that had come to Yew with the help of Lumbard. During a patrol to Chaos with Captain Bladius Dart, Robs and the patrol encountered a Golden Balron. Which after some time and Lots of bandages, they eventually slayed.
After some time as a Besieger one of his fellow Brothers, Stormberg, reached the rank of Lance Corporal. After a short time as Lance Corporal, Stormberg ended up on trial for Treason and Heresy. The day of the Trial he was found murdered in the Guard's Dorm's. Since having trained Stormberg as a Footie, then a Rookie Sieger, it become quite a blow to Tripps. To clear his head and sort himself out Rob took a short term Transfer to Britain. Where having consider all that happened, Rob laid down his mace and once more took up the blade. After a period Rob took his mace back up, Once more using his mace on the same eve as Lanoor's Hearing, He achieved the title of Besieger Champion after a short tournament, Then to finish that eve Rob went on to win the Last Man Standing for that week. After quite a period of tasks and service Rob completed his tasks to achieve the rank of Besieger. The day following his promotion Robert received a host of medals from the Besiegers and Militia. From the Besiegers the Mark of the Brotherhood, Order of Service and Order of the Champion. And from the Militia a Bronze Ankh, a Duty ribbon and ribbon of Distinction.
After a short while Rob won his second Last Man Halberd, and on the same eve was promoted to Iron Arm Corporal. During the 2nd Sosarian Olympics held in Vesper, Rob won the Bronze medal in the Sailing on the Yewish Folly. After the Olympics, the Border war started. With Yew and the Loyalist armies pushing the "Northern Alliance" from the Bridge then the Fortress at the Crossroads.. Yew and her Allies were winning against increasingly overwhelming odds, During the Border War, Rob had been seeing Amarante, one of the barmaids at the King's Deer, After a lengthy period Rob proposed to Amarante and after having the Church bless her, they quickly changed their minds.
During the Britain Moot, After a long period of turmoil in Yew after the Mill Massacre, Rob and some others managed to capture and keep hold of one of the murderers, They marched him back to Yew, in his crippled state, and held a public execution, Leaving three more for Rob and the others to execute. Seems Peace may of been achieved during the Moot however short lived it is.
Personality
Robert is a happy person on the whole, He tends to grin most of the time even when the situation appears dire he still has a grin on his face. Some people do find they have trouble with Robert's speech as he does drop a few letters. He has a fairly slow temper and it tends to take a lot to make him angry. He's a great lover of the sea and doesn't look kindly on disrespecting the sea. He has become a lot more strict when on duty since having undergone the Trails for the Besiegers. Since recent months, and the Trial of Stormberg, Tripps personality has soured somewhat. Seeing the loss of his Student and several friends hard to deal with.
Alignment
Robert is pretty much Neutral, he follows the law to the letter most of the time except when it appears to have gone complete off the proper track. He is a great believer in the fact the Law is vital to keeping the realm safe. He will not let other come to harm on his behalf and has always be willing to give himself for his fellow guardsman.
Motivation
As Criofan has now joined the Militia, Rob now focuses on training Criofan to become a Besieger and to strive to reach the rank of Sergeant.
Reputation
Due to his time in the Militia, Rob has become fairly well known by most of Guards, mainly for his strong desires to lead patrols to places that could almost be classed as Suicidal. and also for continued focus on Duty and serving as best he can.
