Hear ye, hear ye! A need has risen for brave men and women to gather under a banner of honour and truth. Peacekeepers shall come from all over Sosaria to stand firm in order to make others get peace. Where evil lures, Peacekeepers will be there to fight it.

Peacekeepers of Sosaria, history

The history of the Peacekeepers started inside the Spiritwood Tavern. A band of murderers had come to Spiritwood and killed and fought their way to chaos during a long period of time. Rumours came all the way up north to Deepwater of these murderous individuals and their disruptive ways. When we heard of these attacks on the tavern, a group of strongwilled individuals was brought together to oppose these enemies. We chose to expose ourselves in order to gain peace for others. It was not entirely unselfish however. We knew that difficult times were coming, and we needed to know how to deal with them once they came.

The murderers and troublemakers in this story were an infamous group of people that lived around the crossroads. They attacked Spiritwood on a regular basis and we were able to divert the attention away from Spiritwood and onto us. Thus came the birth of our name; Peacekeepers of Sosaria. We kept the peace in one place by diverting the fighting elsewhere. In the wars that followed, we were fairly successful at what we did. The warriors from the Crossroads had a difficult time and as ye can see in this image, we won some victories handily. It is Emmaline that is giggling over her latest victory.

Knowing that our band of warriors opposed the murderers that had caused so much trouble in Spiritwood, a large group of people joined our ranks very quickly. It was an impressive sight to see all those people assembled together, fighting for the same thing. Freedom and fun.

It was in the mind of Khamul that the first ideas of structuring the guild were formed. We gathered on several occasions and had mock fights where the groups were easily distinguished by the colour of robes that we wore. These colours then lived on into the real battles, but proved less valuable there since enemies were all coloured differently anyway. It was good training for the battles and the structure that would grow from those first encounters into the Peacekeepers of today.

The fighting subsided eventually, and the troublemakers from crossroads became respected enemies. They caused far less trouble in Spiritwood, if any at all, and our forces disbanded. Here is a gathering of people outside the Spiritwood tavern during an attack of undead where the Peacekeepers joined the defenses.

We travelled the lands with no clear goal, as can be seen on this image where we are lined up outside the tent of Rilla Takhista, the gypsy from Minoc. She lived in a tent outside Minoc before her rightful claims on a villa in Magincia were placed. Sadly, no Rilla was to be found when the Peacekeepers visited, but knowing the gypsy woman she was busy elsewhere. We remained there awhile, but in the end it was nothing but an exercise in formations.

After this decrease in people and fighting, things became calmer for the Peacekeepers. We stopped doing our raids, and our training became nearly obsolete. Instead, Deepwater was brought into a renaissance when the large hordes of creatures were defeated and calm once again was restored to the town. People started slowly to return to the town, and with the people came the troublemakers. There seems to always be people who want to get attention to themselves by causing grief for others. It is the lowest of low, and something that the Peacekeepers will remain vigilant against forever.

Jonathan and Asteanna, two very valued former members of the Peacekeepers can here be seen with myself standing above the corpse of a fallen enemy. We defeated him after many skirmishes where he had decided to flee to find weaker prey than Peacekeepers.

Then came the faction wars.

I hesitated awhile before I declared that the Peacekeepers would join the factions. It was unclear what goals the different factions had, and why we would join either of them was unclear. After a few days of initial debates and research one of the factions was the obvious choice. True Britannians. As Peacekeepers it is clear that we need to lift the banner of Britannia in the absence of our former leaders. If they are not willing to stand and fight against the hordes of evil, then we will, as we have done before. Large forces of Shadowlords and Minax came rushing through the streets of Britain, conquering any resistance that was set up by the loyal troops.

Among these scattered troops, the Peacekeepers started to work. Trying to provide a safe environment for all those that wanted safety heralding the word of Virtues in the defiled world. Here a group of Peacekeepers stand infront of the Hall of Eight Virtues in Britain. It is located in the centre of Britain and thus it is of major importance, not only for it's spiritual value but also tactical value by the bridge leading directly to the wall of Britain where the defense must hold.
Throughout the patrols and skirmishes of the war, word spread about the tactics that we had from the beginning. While fighting the troublemakers from the Crossroads, Khamul, former Drill Sergeant of the Deepwater guards proclaimed that a group of fighters would win every battle if they learned how to heal. Thus, to this day, that order is spread to each and every soldier of the Peacekeepers. Heal, don't run around and get killed. Stay, heal, take damage, heal more and eventually win. This is an image of Khamul, during his service in the guild.

This image symbolises how the war of the True Britannians is going, with the Peacekeepers as an integral part. We take losses, but as in any war, that is impossible to prevent completely. What we strive for as a group in the army is to win more victories than we loose. I believe we are succesful doing that.

In this war the Peacekeepers still fight for Freedom and Fun, under the device "To be honourable in a defiled world."
