The Baronship of Cove is a sovereign nation centred upon the formerly insignificant, but oft' fought over tradeport. The Baronship was founded anew as an independent power by one Octiovus von Richter. Since the Baron's rise to power the small fishing port has been successfully transformed into a flourishing economic trading settlement as well as one of the largest military powers in the North. Covian goods are exported the world over, and diplomatic relations have been established in regions as far flung as Tokuno. Indeed, the influence of Cove is now such that many loyal to von Richter refer to it as an Empire, rather than a meagre Barony.
