About
All that has been written of our past is a lie.
I Honzu Kotowa, Daimyo of the Kotodama Clan will speak to you of the truth. The truth concerning the Nihon of old; the reality regarding the Forbidden Words of Power' and the true fate of which my clan has suffered. The Bujin'Kai has fed you with nothing but pretentious falsehoods and by my honour I shall clear our name and place into context the real events that occurred those many years ago
The death of Morihei Ueshiba was a blessing to all those of Sosaria. He was little more than a tyrant, a Daimyo who hired mercenaries and thugs to fight beside his glorious armies. Despite the hatred for the Bujin'Kai, the Kotodama Clan looked upon them in awe and great respect.
The rise of Kyi Kawajiri as their new Daimyo also came as a blessing. The harsh and well disciplined leader held his subjects in an iron grip, yet his ways were benevolent and he knew not of the previous ruler's deeds. The land soon grew too hostile for the Bujin'Kai, and the death of the previous Daimyo dealt a horrendous blow to the clan's morale; thus they sought out a new world to continue their existence, their quest for power long forgotten. The Toku monks summoned the white gate, used previously by Sun Tzu to assist his people in retreating from a catalytic land.
Within the realm of Istaria, the Bujin'Kai prospered, but only for a brief period. The new world in which they inhibited proved to be just as hostile as the last and several of the clan caught a strange alien disease known as blight'. Among the infected, Kyi Kawajiri was listed. Fearing for the Daimyo's life, the Bujin'Kai called upon the monks of Toku to create a remedy to cure him. Alas, the reagents needed for such a cure were not to be found within the land of Istaria, thus the Bujin'Kai had no choice but to fall back once again into the white gate.
Panic stricken and worried, the Bujin'Kai had no leader fit enough to lead them once again through the world of Sosaria. It was at this time Honzu Kotoawa presented himself. Upon revealing the truths and reality of events before Kawajiri Kyi and the rest of the clan, it was declared that the name of the Bujin'Kai be forgotten. A name that was once held as an honourable title, a clan that was feared, respected and awed; now it is considered a tainted affiliation, one that Kawajiri Kyi decaled in his last moments as Daimyo shall never be spoken of again.
Honzu Kotowa, Daimyo of the Kotodama offered sanctuary for the remnants of a once tyrannous clan, believing under his rule that all the disciplines of Bushido and Tokuism be abided at all times. This is to be the true' Age of Prosperity' the age continues as from today.
