King's Northern Garrison

In the lore of the now disbanded Crossroads of Yew role-playing community, the King's Northern Garrison were the regional military power prior to Saint Damien's founding of the Guardsmen Militia. Though little mention is made of them, they are generally held to have been a division of the wider Royal Army, whose power in the area diminished with the weakning of loyalist authority to the east, until they were finally replaced in Yew by local peasant forces. Though it was never stated that the garrison disbanded, they never played a part in the events of CoY beyond their oft appearing commander, Sir Rothermere, whose presence added an air of officialdom to Militia doings.
