Throughout the timeline of Sosaria's existance there has lurked the essence of Kahn spreading into nine chosen vombs. From these vombs emerged nine beings all destined for greatness, the nine overlords of Kahn they were to become. On the right day they would all ride out and prepare for the coming of their great lord, their father.

The prophecy
As the nine children of Kahn are discovered, the first tides of darkness sweep across the land.
Nine to represent every person on Sosaria, nine chosen to mark the foundation of the Black gate.
As the location of the Black Gate is discovered the next tides begin, a nerubian demon in the form of a wizard shall cause havoc on the surface above the gate and clear the way.
It is then that light shines into the darkness in the form of a sword. With this sword Sosaria gains hope.
Epic battles shall scar the earth forever, the human forces will be forced to fight each other as the dark whispers of Auxil fill their ears.
If the humans shall fail to use their given salvation, then shall the Black gate rise and through it will flood the legions of Nerub.
Eventually shall the dark titan himself step through and consume the world in a pool of chaos and destruction.

Different Angles
There has been much controversy over what exactly Kahn is: The Silver Eye Cult named him the Chaoslord, the different scholars all claimed he was a nether daemon, the vampire courts seemed to think he was an antedeluvian, even the orcs located around Cove mentioned his name as their bloodgod.
The Beginning
In the first ages of Sosaria's existance there was a disturbance in the dimensional barriers between Sosaria and the demonic outworld known as Nerub. A shadow of great evil infiltrated the land with intentions of vile origin. The shadow travelled unseen from each region to the next for the next several years, seeking and waiting for the right child bearers to appear. Their vombs were then corrupted by this shadow with an essence belonging to the dominator of Nerub, the Dark Titan Kahn. With the help of his corrupted children, Kahn plotted to enter Sosaria and expand his dark reign.
However something went terribly wrong in Kahn's plans for when the children had all been born he had begun to notice that some of them did not respond to his essence like they should have. The nine children that Kahn affected should have all gained his spiritual strength and intelligence but at the same time his dark will. Some of them responded to the essence as they should have but others simply showed intelligence and strength but lack of the great evil Kahn had passed down to them.
Present Day
The nine children had all matured, some of them older then others, some even of different races. However while one child was a murderous leader of brigands the other was perhaps the grandmaster of a knighthood order. Kahn had expected this to occur, hence the day came that he approached all his affected children with the devious task of murdering their good alligned siblings and removing their hearts.
None of them objected to Kahns will, their minds belonged to him. Though as the children went to kill the good ones, Kahn still held into the hope of being able to infiltrate the minds of his rebellious ones.
However there was one thing Kahn did not expect, and that was the interferance of an old wise man known as Talab Idil. The Mystic Elder and leader of the order of Mystic Keepers, Talab was as wise as he was powerfull and proved to be a great big thorn in Kahn's side. With Talabs wisdom at their sides the rebellious children managed to escape the mind games that Kahn had whispered into their ears.
The plan Kahn had devised using the nine children had fallen through thanks to the might of good, however the Dark Titan was never fully defeated and still remains today a threat to be considered.
