Inashtars Guardians of the Forest

From MoongatesWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Inashtar's Guardians of the Forest were a group of fanatical worshippers of an ancient nature deity, the goddess Inashtar. They were dedicated to protecting the forests of Yew from danger, and warding off those who sought to harm it. In the guild's earlier days, their role-play interactions with others in the (CoY) community were predominantly peacefull. At a certain point, however, the Guardians had a major transition in direction and plot, that changed their stance, policies, and nature dramatically. This period has become known as The Fall, and symbolises the group's sudden transformation into a darker, more brutal organisation.

The Fall

The Fall of Oakdale was a catalytic story arc in the Guardian's history, sparking a number of significant changes. In an attempt to halt a decline in numbers, the guild leadership saw fit to move into a more martial and actively engaged role. Inter-guild combat became a regular event in the previously pacifistic guild, with their most regular opponents being the Guardsmen Militia and Undead. Strong bonds and alliances were also formed with the similarly alligned Celts of Kallahar.

The Fall centred around the deeds of a villainous traitor-Druid by the name of Bark Omarleon, and his corruption of the Worshippers' minds. His most trusted subject was Caggun who would go on to become a psychopathic murderer, and ultimately an abomination of the Undead hordes.

Inashtarian

The Guardians had their own simple language, like many other guilds in the Crossroads of Yew. Inashtarian was comprised of a few key words or phrases, mingled with Britannian (English).
