Fallen From Grace (abbr. *F*) went through many incarnations before becoming a founding member of CoY, as a group of individuals role-playing assassins and mercenaries for hire. It was a member-guild of the Crossroads of Yew community and was eventually renamed and reinvented as the Tel'marian Mercenary Company (T*M).
History
At the time of CoY's inception, Fallen From Grace was on the periphery of ERPA and the idea was to accept only assassin-style characters. When approached by Damien Lumberton of the Guardsmen Militia about a new, exclusive, role-playing scenario, Fallen From Grace was forced to adapt its assassin-only culture into something with a broader appeal. Thus Fallen From Grace became the mercenaries people now remember.
Fallen From Grace was maintained for two years before finally a reinvention of the entire guild structure, ethos and systems took place. The guild was renamed and relaunched as the Tel'marian Mercenary Company, to more accurately reflect its nature and provide a less ambiguous (and arguably high fantasy/futuristic) guild name, as well as introduce many new ideas and features for the guild members.
