Black Box

The Black Box is an artefact that Callum Fitzhugh found. Made out of a blackrock-like material, the Black Box seems to have unusual powers, and was used to store a strange Black Dagger.
The true scope of power of the Black Box is unknown, but it seemed to protect people from the Dagger that was kept inside it. Rumours indicate that it could have also kept some strange magical effects that the Dagger possessed from harming the carrier of the box.

The New Black Boxes
With the reappearance of Blackrock and its disturbing effect on mages and creatures, several mages (and those with historical leanings) were looking for a way to protect people from the rogue element. Muldran Skully took a suggestion that was made to craft some boxes, based upon the original Black Box.
As with most Muldran-centred projects, this did not run as smoothly as it could have done. Muldran managed to create five boxes (red, rather than black) and has given them to four other groups of people - and one has already been stolen by a strange entity called The Dark Lord.
It is not known if these new 'black boxes' do have any power to protect the holder from Blackrock, although Muldran has asked those who now possess them to experiment with them - after all, what's the worst thing that can happen?
Muldran has indicated that now he has been successful in creating these boxes, he can create more.
