Besiegers' Revolt

The Besiegers' Revolt was a short and bloody clash within the ranks of the Guardsmen Militia of Yew. The nature of this dissent is likely to have been more religious in nature than political, as the Besiegers' occult lodge-gatherings and borderline heretical worship of the Archangel Pyros brought them, inevitably, into conflict with the Avatarian Church. The leader of the seditious division was one Killian, Besieger Master and veteran of the Militia's ranks.
Officially the Magistrate (inquisitorial element of the Yewish Church) quashed the heresy in the revolt's wake, though rumours have since resurfaced of the Besiegers' continued adulation of the fire titan, and the return of their old fraternal, cult-like practices. Suffice to say, the Besiegers deny any heresy within their brotherhood. Killian retained his position after the revolt, whilst all involved were excused any wrong-doing, though the division has remained quietly at odds with the church to the present day.
