The story of Baghtru

Founder of the Severed Heads

The Severed Heads Orc Clan was founded long before Baghtru was born. How long ago noone can tell for sure, perhaps the most sinister of the wozza and the eldest of the shamans can know the true answer. Baghtru is commonly referred to as the founder of the clan since it was during his waaagh the clan rose to strength and became the dominant of all orcish clans. However this is a slight misconception of the truth since the clan was founded "eons" ago. Though the modern orcs honor Baghtru's deeds by calling him "Da Foundur".

Whoever led the Severed Heads before Baghtru is forgotten. Not even Baghtru himself can recollect who it was (probably because Baghtru was never a man of intelligence but more a man of action and unquestionable power).

What more is a mystery that could puzzle anyone interested in orcish history is the fact that when Baghtru rose the power, the hideous wozza resurfaced from their secret underworld abodes to serve the new warboss. Rumors have had it that Baghtru was the son of wozza and a female troll, hence is magnitude in both size and also his ability to persuade a large group of savages like orcs to follow him. Probably a part of the alledged wozza mind control ability was passed on to Baghtru, though this is a mere speculation.

Baghtru was always a big during his days as a lil'wun and grew up to become a grunt regular at very young age and could easily beat most others in combat, even the big'uns of the clan. It probably was no surprise that Baghtru became very popular in the clan (all great warriors do) and the day he slew the present warboss was celebrated and taken as a sign of times-are-a-changing to the better, ie more war. The fact that the wozza were more frequently seen did not discourage any of the clan's members not to put utter faith in their new leader.

The waaagh-Baghtru itself were days filled with constant wars. The Severed Heads orcs took out most foes at ease with the screaming headhunter Baghtru 'Ead-Cleava leading his maniacal warriors.

Baghtru's traits except his excellent combat ability was as mentioned his way of addressing crowds of bloodthirsty maniacs (ie his likes) and get them to follow him wherever against whoever. He also had an innate ability to overlook combat situations and organise strategic attacks/defenses. He was also a very fond drinker.

Baghtru of today is a very old orc, not even close to the combatant he was during his waaagh. He still yearns for blood and heads but not as capable of collecting them himself than the younger orcs. He sees great joy and feels immense pride when he sees the accomplishments of the warbosses after him and most of his time the old orc likes to sit by the firepit and tell stories of his youth. Due to his age, he was more or less forced to learn how to ride to be able to keep up during any raid (since he still loves a good clomp) and with much practice he has barely managed to ride a beast. The use of a stick to help his walking was out of the question, that would be showing his weakness in public and that day would be the one true death of Baghtru.
