Aunty Gwynnie was a pseudonym used by the young Countess Gwyndolyn Quaintly during her time as Agony Aunt for the Poste, the best known newspaper in Sosaria. Gwyn was a well-meaning and compassionate soul, often misunderstood and disliked by women, deeply admired and followed about by her "protectorate" of large, blonde, muscular paladins, and either lusted after or at least tolerated by most men. Her relationship with the Duke Irvyn Middlethorn of Trinsic was often speculated on, and gave rise to many rumours, most of which were highly amusing, deeply worrying, and mostly untrue. Gwyn was the younger of the Quaintly-twins, the other being Phaedra (Phae Quaintly) who was as cold and selfserving as Gwyn was warm and selfless.
