Angfan

Angfan, full name Angfan De Lucci, is a red-headed arcanist best-known for her helping hand in the widespread muggings, murders, robberies, thefts, and mercenary work that any member Raul's Crimson Claw gang. A fiery redhead as they say, Angfan is a woman known to have both an incredible force of will and confidence that stems from and supports her arcane prowess, and a less appreciable side that is said to have a slender grip on reality, perhaps also tied in with her lust for magical power. She has a large crimson tattoo stretching from the right side of her neck down her shoulder and ending over her fingertips in an arm and Claw shape. Her only known relative is her sister Anna De Lucci, a particularly weak, shy and even more red-headed woman who does her very best to keep away from magic for reasons she tends to keep to herself – much the opposite of Angfan except for appearance.

Crimson Claw
Angfan was a member of the Crimson Claw from a fairly early point of its conception onward; indeed, one of the very few mages to have been a member of the Crimson Claw at all. Before this, she claims to have studied in various arcane and alchemical institutes throughout Britannia. She left the Crimson Claw after its boss Raul was captured and jailed, which lead to the Claw breaking up as a whole.
The Hounds Tooth
During her time in the Crimson Claw, there was an incident involving a Kaldorian artifact dubbed "The Hounds Tooth". This was an arcane blade forged somewhere in Kaldor's homeland which contained the spirit of some sort of fire elemental within its metals that both fueled the wielders power and lived off it. Although several people wielded the blade in its time, Angfan was known for holding onto it and coveting it. She is said to be the one who bonded most with the blade's spirit, learning much of elemental magic in the process. This is said to have been passed on to the Vesper Militia, whom began to summon Fire Elementals in their service some time after, when Angfan was known to be tutoring their arcanists. If she is spoken of, it is often gossiped that Angfan has an obsession with the recovery of or the creation of a similar blade, and will stop short of little to do so.
Vesper Militia
Some time after the Crimson Claw's disbandment, Angfan was a mercenary for hire. She took a variety of short-term contracts, but her most apparent and lengthy of these was being hired by the Vesper Militia for the duration of Vesper's war against the Royalists in the Minoc Campaign. During this contract she was commended by many Vesparians for admirable service, and even led the army's magic-using portions at times. With the Minoc Campaign being by and large over, Angfan's contract with the Militia came to an end and she was formally discharged by the Militia Captain, Hanse Davion.
It has been noted by observers and gossips that although Angfan made an exceptional mercenary for the Vesparians, she only did so on the condition of a hefty payment for her work in what was a crisis-point for the Republic forces. There was even talk of her being somewhat too unpredictable with the Royalist forces; sparing them on a whim at points and slaughtering them needlessly at others. There was even some talk of having become good friends with some of the Yewish Militia's most prominent D'Gar family guards.
In her later career, Angfan served as both a mercenary on the field of battle but more often as a tutor for less experienced Vesparian arcanists who the local Militia feel should be instructed by the best that money can buy. As time went on, she is known to have become significantly more reclusive, rarely being seen or heard from except when teaching or picking up supplies before withdrawing to her home somewhere in Republican territory.
Angfan and the Present
Angfan's whereabouts are currently unknown to all but (allegedly) a few of the Davion family. Before her disappearance, there were rumours that she had been seeking an apprentice to forge in her image for either passing on her knowledge, or vanity. She has occasionally been spotted flitting through towns around Britannia, but none have seen nor heard of who her apprentice is, or if she even took one before becoming a recluse.
