The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Alex stands 6 foot tall but despite this, has a very thin build. His matted blond hair gives him the appearance of being quite scruffy but despite this, he usually carries a smile on his face when amongst his fellow Guards.

History
Many moons ago, Alex's father Alec was cut down near Stonekeep. Shortly after the commemoration ceremony, his love: a citizen of Stonekeep by the name of Jemma, left Stonekeep to return to her family holdings in the greater Yew area. Unknown to Jemma however, she was Pregnant with Alec's child. 9 Months later, baby Alex came into the world, named so after his Grandfather. However, tragedy struck shortly after the birth and due to complications from Alex's arrival into the world, Jemma passed away.
Baby Alex was raised by his reclusive Uncle. Rarely was he taught more than just to read and simple arithmetic in his 19 years. His uncle was a great hunter and therefore did not see the need for Alex to learn these skills. That is, till Alex's uncle also passed away.
Having no skills in the wilderness, and only the clothes on his back, Alex made his way to Stonekeep and enlisted in the Militia.
Alex had no knowledge of his father upon joining the Militia, though he was forever searching for knowledge on him, and his first clues were been dropped to him as he enlisted with Corporal Ian Sutherns recognizing his surname. What followed were days of asking random guards if they had known him. Hints dropped from Daven Carpenter pointed him in the Waywatchers direction, only to find the Waywatchers had no personal recollection of him. Seemingly at a loss, Alex continued to carry out his duty, until a Covian named Kas Valentine also recognized the name, but not the station of Alec. Alex's greatest fears came to the fore, his overheard conversation left him with a hint dropped that his father may have been a Court Magician. Alex finally worked up the courage to bother Captain Bladius Dart about his Dad, who indeed was verified to be a waywatcher who had died on duty near Stonekeep two decades ago. Alex is now able to be proud of the father he never knew, and grow into his own man.
Guardsman Career
Personality
When on duty, Alex is very formal and respectful to all Guardsmen and citizens of yew, rarely does he blur the lines between his personal feelings and his professional. When off duty, Alex likes to keep to himself, growing up alone has allowed him to find comfort in solidarity. When called upon to socialize though, he has been known to crack the occasional joke and loosen up a little.
